Fix It Vellore ("we," "us," "our") is a local appliance repair business in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. This page sets out what we collect when you use fixitvellore.in or book a repair, why we hold it, and how you can ask us to change or delete it. Contacting us or using this site means you're okay with what's described here.
2. Information We Collect
Some of it you hand us directly; a little is picked up automatically when you browse:
- What you send us — your name, phone number, email, the service address and a description of the fault, through the form, a call, WhatsApp or email.
- Job notes — the appliance, what was done, parts used and the technician's notes, kept against your record.
- How you use the site — pages viewed, rough location and browser, plus anonymised session playbacks, through Microsoft Clarity and Cloudflare Web Analytics. See Section 6.
- Where you came from — if you clicked a Google Ads listing, Google sets a cookie so we can see the ad led to a booking. See Section 6.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To reply to your enquiry and fix a time for the visit
- To send the right technician with the right parts
- To keep you updated on timing, the quoted price and anything found during the job
- To handle warranty claims and follow-ups afterwards
- To see which pages and ads bring people to us, so we don't waste money on the ones that don't
4. Sharing of Information
We never sell your details. The only people who see them are:
- The technician and office staff handling your job
- The tools we run the business on — email, hosting and scheduling providers — who may only use the data to provide that service to us
- Authorities, where the law requires it
5. Data Retention
We keep your contact and job records for as long as we need them to support the repair, honour the warranty, and meet normal accounting and legal record-keeping rules. After that they're removed. You can ask us to delete your details sooner — see Section 8.
6. Cookies & Advertising
Here's exactly what runs on this site. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits and page views without cookies. Microsoft Clarity records anonymised session playbacks and heatmaps so we can see where the site is confusing; it sets cookies to do that. If we're running Google Ads, Google sets cookies to tell us which ad a booking came from. That's the full list — no data brokers, no social pixels. Block cookies in your browser if you'd rather; the site still works, a few conveniences won't.
7. Data Security
We take sensible steps to keep your information safe from unauthorised access or disclosure. That said, nothing sent over the internet or stored anywhere is ever completely secure, so we can't promise absolute protection.
8. Your Choices
Email contact@fixitvellore.in to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Ask us to stop any promotional messages and we'll stop.
9. Children's Privacy
This is a service for adults booking appliance repairs. We don't knowingly collect anything from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the new version goes up on this page with a fresh "Last updated" date. Worth a look before you assume it's the same.
